ASSUMING YOU READ THE ROUTE A SAGA BEFORE COMING HERE... this is the space where i'll tell you all about the comic saga up until this point! here you'll find everything, from the initial story sketch, concept arts, drawings i did at the beginning that i regretted, and more! since i felt like someone would question the time spent serving cunt, i felt the obligation to make a cover, so here are the extras!
this one is new! let's start with how route a was supposed to work: there was going to be the introduction of anomaly vin, they'd go to the hall of time and face coffe, davi, and someone else, failing three times. samuloko were going to merge with the self-insert and they'd go back to chapter 6, but in the process, something was supposed to happen, and the time powers would return to the original time. after that, they'd begin to prepare for the comic until an official from T.S.P. shows up and starts pursuing samuloko for creating an anomaly. samuloko would be running through the city until he gets cornered. just when he's about to get shot, time would save him, and i'd need to figure out a way to get the comic back to chapter 6, making the time powers leave without causing an anomaly, and all of that making sense.
did you notice many gaps formed? in these, i adapted, invented, and added layers along the way until it became what it is now! the only changes that took a while for me to figure out were how to remove the time powers from the anomaly, how time would return without causing an anomaly, and how time would leave. i'm not going to get into too much detail on how i came to those conclusions (mostly because i forgot...), but i'll talk about the thematic because, as i was designing the scenes, they kind of just fell into place.
(reference of the pose of time and samuloko)
i won't give an interpretation because i promised myself not to doubt the interpretation of the reader, as it makes me insecure about my writing and how i tell the story, but i can talk vaguely about the themes i needed to incorporate
first, verônika. after having the idea of a racist cop, i started thinking about how she would fit into the narrative, because if i was going to make this storyline, she had to be 1. good 2. fit into the story 3. function as part of each character, even the bad ones. in this, i thought of veronika directly contrasting with the comic's tone and premise. she's serious, older, and doesn't have the patience to deal with the nonsense stickman world of the comic. from here, i realized that racism would contrast very well because, in addition to doing her job, she would be in a position of power and infinitely stronger than samuloko. i won't go into spoilers, but she needed to be stronger than samuloko for thematic reasons. initially, i thought of just someone with an element that had an advantage against lightning, but after thinking more, i realized that her having all elements would make for a better fight with several double attacks, creating a barrier that controlled samuloko in his weakened state. that's why she lets samuloko attack first, and her first move is to break his arm, showing she's in control of the fight, and to win, he'd have to reveal the anomaly.
the final message was mentioned in the author note. there, i really saw a well-formed message emerging from that situation, taking what happened in reality and in the comic, closing the events of that arc, while leaving some threads for the future! i really liked how i managed to tie everyone's theme together (even if a bit unintentionally) in a way that made sense and was consistent with the story!
(reference of divonic yasmin benoit for the cover of part 7, and yes, i'll use more refs of her)
i know it makes sense to talk about this in the panrata extras, but here i felt something was missing, so i'll add it here. the final act was inspired by a scene in danganronpa v3 where the protagonist changes. i don't know if this is a spoiler since it happens in the first case, so it shouldn't be. after that really cool scene with the lights and other characters off-screen, i had the idea of doing something similar in the game, in a scene that would also swap the protagonist. but after reading a light novel, i saw how death was narrated in a more theatrical style, so i decided to use this element whenever a character dies! and that's how the final act was born! my favorite final act is time's, i love that it's him saying goodbye to the story and to route a! so cufe.... >:3333

last minute but not really that much, i wanted to put death, good, and evil. i needed to start addressing them within the universe because the idea of them had been there for a while, but nothing was solidified. i didn't imagine starting to use them here, but for me, it was the perfect moment because this is sort of the point where the daydream plot begins, leaving that loose thread to be resolved in the games! another last-minute thing was the wave of double attacks. i just felt that after all the humiliation, they needed to turn it up a notch, and i'd never miss the opportunity to draw panels of cops getting beat up!

I DON'T KNOW HOW TO ADD THIS IN A BETTER WAY ON THE PAGE BUT BEFORE THE COOL PART I'LL ADD THE REFERENCES THAT I THINK ARE WORTH MENTIONING!!!
i won't add pictures to all of them so it doesn't take up too much space
animation white whale, holy grail
coffe’s monologue inspired by big crack 4 (brazillian shitpost song)
time and panrate's pose is inspired by kamen rider revice
batista getting ready is the first cutscene from ace attorney 5
the scene where verônika bashes samuloko's head against the wall is a panel from kick ass
the scene where verônika beats the shit out of samuloko is inspired by mark vs levi from invincible
the artwork of veronika in the alley is from a friend in college instagram https://www.instagram.com/dead.body_x/
the double attacks from time and samuloko are references from: jojo, phineas and ferb, jet set radio, ibuki's foot in her attack in 3rd strike, my stove and my sink
when the dual attacks end, samuloko strikes the faiz pose
now for the part that a lot of people love! let's start with some explosive ones (that blow me up). i'll be posting them as i didn't come up with a better way to organize everything. i'll comment on what i think is necessary, but if it's here and not in the comic, there's a reason!
i tried making a cool design for the T.S.P weapon. i don't remember the reference i used, but if you search for sci-fi weapons, you'll probably find something similar
concept art of the glacial queen armor and a few frames i didn't use because i just wanted to draw this part to motivate myself to reach it
sequence before samuloko kills the self-insert. there's no problem with it, but i thought it would make the scene better if it was samuloko's fault. leaving the blame on the anomaly felt like it took away from the scene's impact
me trying my best to make the scene look cool. in the end, i just used my initial sketch, and then i painted it, and it became what you see in the comic
the first sketch of verônika! i don’t know how i came up with the idea of a racist redhead, but i took a lot of military references and used this outfit as inspiration
samuloko and samuel's wounds at the end are based on darwin's wounds
unused reflex panic attack from ezt
